My name is Giorgina Paiella. I have a Ph.D in English with a doctoral emphasis in cognitive science and a certificate in college and university teaching. Check out some of my work here.
Important Note:
I was a PhD student at UCSB from September 2016 to June 2021. I earned my PhD diploma in June 2021.
There are a number of fraudulent reviews that were not written by students, and all written on the same day, planted on UCSB-affiliated sites, claiming to have taken courses with me at UCSB years after I had already graduated with my doctorate, when it was a literal impossibility to have done so.
These claims commit fraud on an:
- Institutional level: I was not an instructor at the university for years at that point, nor was I receiving a wage from the institution at that time.
- State level: I was not a resident of California at that time.
- Federal level: I was not receiving any federal wages, benefits, or compensation from the institution at that time.
All real accounts of my teaching were documented during the time of instruction through official institutional ESCI ratings, official letters written by future department admins, and a detailed teaching portfolio submitted to the institution.
